Book Tag: The Emoji Edition!!

Hey guys!  This will be my first ever Book Tag!  I am so excited! 

I was tagged by the amazing Aria from Aria Stuck InWonderland to do the Emoji Book Tag!  She is really awesome and if you haven't checked out her blog, please do so!

In doing this tag, all you have to do is choose 5 of your favorite emojis and pick a book that will correspond to it. 

Jumping right into it let’s start with:

The “Cool” Emoji

Well there’s no surprise here what book I could be choosing.  

Holy cow is Dante Walker ever the coolest guy around…and he knows it too.  I have completely fallen for the main character in this trilogy and I can’t believe I hadn’t read it earlier! 

I mean, you have a rather hot demon soul collector that will do anything to come and seal your soul for hell.  The ultimate bad boy!  And then suddenly he meets this girl who begins to change his whole way of thinking.  A bad boy turned slightly good who wants to protect you because you’ve stolen his heart?  Yeah…I’m in for that!

The “Geek Out” Emoji

If there was ever a book series to geek out over, it would have to be Harry Potter.  I mean come on, I read these when they first came out while I was in middle school and yet, I still read them even now.  

J K Rowling really created a world in which everyone could devour and pretty much get stuck in.  The characters are awesome, the writing is fabulous, and the storylines throughout the entire book really make you want to read more and more.  And…it’s HARRY POTTER!

The “Crybaby” Emoji

I think I cried throughout this entire book.  From beginning to end, you are forced to sit through the tale of this young girl and her story of what has happened to her.  You see what happens as a result of that and feel her family’s anguish and anger at what happened.  

You are constantly waiting and wanting her killer to be caught and wonder how that is going to happen.  You find yourself mourning for a life lost and what could have been.  If you haven’t read this, I suggest you do, but be forewarned that it’s pretty dark throughout most of the book.

The “Surprise” Emoji

This book has stuck with me day in and day out since I read it.  The characters were identifiable, the emotions were palpable and the scenery…amazing!

I have to say, this book definitely surprised me.  The ending really messed with my head and has me anxiously awaiting the second novel to this trilogy.  Sarah J Maas really has a way of writing a story that is believable enough for the reader to lose themselves in.

The “Love” Emoji

And now it comes down to the love emoji and of course I knew exactly what I wanted to pick for this emoji because…this series…is just one of the best.  It’s ranked high on my list of best books ever! 

The Lux Series is a phenomenal series about a girl named Katy, who moves to West Virginia with her mom.  She’s still in high school, she has her own Book Blog, and…she’s neighbors to one of the hottest guys she’s ever seen in her life.  Daemon Black.

Now aside from the fact that he’s crazy hot and something not of this world…this book also gave me my first real look at book blogging…and I’ve loved it ever since!
