Review - Fair Game (Alpha and Omega Series #3) by Patricia Briggs

Noticing some things make them more real.  They are already real to me.  If you notice them, they might become real to you as well, and that would not be good.” – Fair Game by Patricia Briggs

Where to start with this one?  Just finished reading it and I’m still blown away by the ending.  It brings so much into perspective that a sense of foreboding overtakes you at the end.  You’ve got Werewolves and you’ve got Fae and you’ve got all the usual supernatural goodies and baddies that the series is known for.  And you’ve got trouble…and lots of it.

So, Fair Game is the third book in the Alpha and Omega series by Patricia Briggs.  I absolutely have been astounded by how awesome this series really is.  I was hooked from the first book and as I continue to read, I am being pulled further into the plot lines and I really care for the characters within them.

Charles and Anna.  Those two.  Wow.  They will tug at your heartstrings every time.  From the first word, to the last word of this book, my heart completely went out to Charles because of EVERYTHING he is having to deal with.  He shoulders so much from being the Alpha’s son and having to be his father’s “hit man”.  If you’ve been reading the series so far, you know what I mean by that.

Throughout the entire series, we see that Charles is sent to go and deal with the big bad baddies that don’t listen to daddy and, by their very actions, put the entire pack in peril.  However as he continues to go out and find these trouble makers and deal with them accordingly, his guilty conscious over things that have happened starts to eat at him.  By this happening, this brings on a whole other issue in regards to how he functions and how much his wolf takes hold of him and how he can just deal with day to day life.

All the emotions aside, the case that Charles and Anna have to go out and face in this particular book, is something no less horrifying than something straight out of a Criminal Minds episode.  These particular baddies are incredibly evil and will stop at no lengths in getting exactly what they want.  This time however, they really mess up and anger someone a whole lot more dark, menacing, and more powerful than even they can take on.  It’s up to Charles and Anna to figure out the mystery and save the day but what will it cost them in the end?

Do I sense a supernatural war on the rise?  We shall see!
