Valentine's Day Book Tag!

Well guys its that time of year again.  The time where the lucky in love shower each other with various gifts of love and adornment.  It's also that special time of year where the unlucky in love are reminded on an hourly basis what they may be missing.

Then there are the bookish people!  How can you be left feeling sad and lonely when there are so many lovely couples and hot romances just waiting to be delved into?

For that reason I decided to do a Valentine's Day Book Tag for all of us who just want to stay at home with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book!

For this tag, there are five categories to be answered with, what I hope will be, the appropriate response! Obviously there are going to be more answers that other people will have to these questions, these are only my opinions.

All time favorite couple:

This is a very hard choice for me as there are so many really good book couples out there.  For the sake of this tag, I'm going to have to choose...Suze and Jesse from The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot

I mean...how could I not choose these two, guys?!  The latest book in the series just came out and its been YEARS since we've had any connection to these two characters and yet it feels like just yesterday that I finished reading the first 6 books back in high school.  If you haven't picked this series up, I suggest you do it soon!

Hard-headed but we love them anyway:

This category is actually pretty funny and could go quite a few different ways.  When I think of this category though, I have one particular series in mind.  In it both individuals have incredibly short tempers and more often than not, will fight with each other (and their growing attraction for one another) more than anything else.  For this series, I have to pick, The Lux Series by Jennifer L Armentrout

The forces that be are too great:

I knew exactly which book series should be listed under this category.  None other than The Tiger's Curse Series by Colleen Houck

This series is incredible both with the romance involved as well as the incredible image that's painted for us by the author to describe the gorgeous scenery surrounding our main characters.  The adventure and angst within all 4 main novels within the series is palpable and will have your heart speeding up and also breaking with each turn of the page.

Most Romantic Setting:

Of course when you think of romantic settings, the first setting that comes to my mind is the beautiful streets and breathtaking atmosphere that is Paris.  One particular series that comes to mind when I think of Paris is of course...  The Revenant Series by Amy Plum

There are currently three novels and two novellas within this series.  Will there be more?  I don't know, time may tell. :)

Romance within a Non-Romance Series:

There's no hiding it...I've been addicted to this series since I FINALLY started reading it at the end of last year.  I have to admit I've been going slowly with this series because I just don't want it to end.  I get the familiar feel of Harry Potter with this series, and its a feeling I've sorely missed.  Of course I'm talking about...

Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan

I just can't help it.  I absolutely love the dynamic between two certain characters within this series.  If you've read this series, you know who I'm talking about.  If you haven't...you definitely need to go and pick it up!  Plus the romance in this series is innocent and sweet and at times totally clueless!

Alright guys, those are my picks!  If you have different ones please let me know in the comments below. Also if you'd like to use this tag, just make sure to link back to this original post!  I can't wait to see what else you guys can come up with for these categories!  Happy Valentine's Day!
