Truly, there aren’t enough words to explain how wonderful
this series has been.
I’ve laughed and cried, I’ve rejoiced and despaired, and I’ve
followed Jae Hwa on an adventure that spans lifetimes. I will never truly be able to leave the
wonder that is this crazy, intense, and mind-blowing version of Korea,
Christina Farley has written for us.
Brazen, is the
third and final book in the Gilded trilogy. We start out once again with
our heroine being brave and trying to save the world and all whom she loves
within it. Haunted by the memory of a
friend long lost, Jae Hwa is on a mission and she is bound and determined to
succeed no matter what it may take!
Still trapped within Kud’s terrible clutches, our
protagonist is forced to play ninja assassin for the dark god. Lying, cheating, stealing…he’s got her under
lock and key and she must be bent to his every whim. However, she is trying desperately to turn
every order, every demand, into something that is going to save the Korea she
knows and loves. Stopping Kud’s master
plan, is definitely on the top of her bucket list.
Trying to save the world while everyone thinks you’re dead? Entirely different experience all on its
own. Especially when things go slightly
askew during one such mission sent forth by Kud himself. Will Jae Hwa succeed? Will she ever be able to go back to the home,
the friends, the family and the love she’s had to leave behind? I won’t ruin it with the spoilers. All I can tell you is you’ll learn all that
and more when you discover Brazen.
If you haven’t picked up this amazing trilogy, I highly
suggest you go and do so as soon as possible.
Christina Farley is a fabulous author and a great person. Having taught in Korea, and knowing Korean
culture as much as she does, has made her novels an immersion into a lifestyle
that many would never get to experience.
I give Brazen a solid 5 out of
5 stars on GoodReads and will probably go back and read it over and over again!

the author of the Gilded series, a YA contemporary fantasy series set in Korea.
GILDED was nominated for Korea's 2014 Morning Calm, Ohio's 2015 Buckeye award,
and the Tome’s It List. As a child, she loved to explore, which later inspired
her to jump on a plane and travel the world. Christina's adventures sparked her
