Review - The Collector (A Dante Walker Novel) by Victoria Scott

“Dante Walker is flippin’ awesome, and he knows it.  His good looks, killer charm, and stellar confidence have made him one of Hell’s best – a soul collector.  His job is simple:  weed through humanity and label those round rears with a big red good or bad stamp.  Old Saint Nick Gets the good guys, and he gets the fun ones.  Bag – and – tag.”  - Blurb from ‘The Collector’ by Victoria Scott

Whew…Dante Walker…my oh my.

So, I’ll be honest, I have a thing for bad boys in my literature.  There’s Zsadist in J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood Series.  There’s Kishan in Colleen Houck’s Tiger’s Curse Series.  Then there’s Dante…my new favorite obsession.

To put it simply, Dante is a soul collector who seals souls to be collected and sent to Hell.  He’s definitely good at what he does and he knows it.  He’s a badass with great looks and a killer smile and that ‘do whatever he wants’ attitude.  Oh…and he has an aversion to cats and he’s a germaphobe.  Two facts of which he’s not readily willing to admit.  After all…he’s perfect.

Then there’s the occasional assignment he has to deal with.  Enter Charlie Cooper.  Boy was Dante NOT expecting her…or what happens during his assignment to tarnish her soul for the complete purpose of sealing it to Hell.  Oh…and he has to collect her soul in ten days or less.  Challenge…accepted.
